Scope: The following privacy terms apply to Greenhour.org website, only. NWF's other website, nwf.org, is governed by a separate policy.

Information we gather: NWF collects two categories of information from users of Greenhour.org: (1) personal information that you voluntarily supply (e.g., when you register with the site, join an on-line discussion, or send us an e-mail); and (2) tracking information collected as you navigate the site.

How we use the personal information we gather: If you use, or register online at, Greenhour.org, you agree to our Terms of Use.

NWF may share your name, e-mail and mailing address internally with NWF and its affiliated organizations. If at any time you would like to update your information or change your preferences with regard to NWF mail or e-mail, simply log in and edit your profile, or use the Contact Us page.

NWF may collect other profile data, including but not limited to geographic region and personal interests, in order to assist users in communicating with each other.

From time to time, also, we may obtain e-mail addresses from third party sources to be used for promotional e-mails. Participants on the Greenhour.org member spaces or other interactive community features have a menu of privacy options. Any information you disclose in these forums becomes public when you post it to the forum, and NWF may use that content in any and all media.

How we use the tracking information we gather : NWF uses technology to collect aggregate, non-personally-identifiable information about site use.

As is standard practice on many websites, Greenhour.org uses "cookies" and other technologies to recognize you and provide personalization, as well as to help us understand which parts of our website are more popular. Users who do not accept cookies from Greenhour.org cannot access some areas of the site.

NWF uses Google Analytics, a third party, to help us analyze anonymous usage and browsing patterns of visitors to Greenhour.org. We reserve the right to change vendors at any time and without notice.

Children: Greenhour.org is intended for parents, educators, and other caregivers, not children.

Except for Kids & Families, NWF does not knowingly collect or store any personal information, even in the aggregate, about children under the age of 13. NWF Kids & Families is a free service for parents, teachers and students that does not require registration and is governed by a separate privacy policy.

How we protect your information: NWF wants Greenhour.org to be a safe environment for parents and caregivers to collaborate and share ideas for connecting children with nature. Accordingly, we offer members several options for controlling their privacy and participation on Greenhour.org.

NWF may disclose personal information if it is required to do so by law or we feel it is necessary to protect against the misuse or unauthorized use of our websites, or the personal safety or property of our users or the public.

Changes to this policy: NWF reserves the right to revise its privacy policy from time to time. Any revised term will take effect on the day it is posted.
