I received a window feeder for my birthday in January. It's awesome! I've loved birds since I was a little girl and would read bird books for hours. Now, I get to "visit" with them every day!

We need to plant some native plants, too. Our poor birds don't have enough food sources in the yard.

We got as much peanut butter on us as we did the bagels making the feeders! The kids went crazy for these and so did the birds! Cardinals, chickadees and a few we don't know the names of -- YET! Great fun!

This activity was a good excuse to properly hang both of our main bird feeders, one for thistle and one for mixed seeds. We also pulled out one that hangs on the window - we'll see if it works or gets ransacked by squirrels. I like the bagel idea - we'll be doing that soon. It is pretty amazing how quickly word gets around the feathered set that there is a new treat source. We already had a nice crowd this morning to look at as we were preparing breakfast.
